American Immigrant Resources on the Internet
This is a great resource for immigrants. I highly recommend it. Categories include reference, self-help, practitioners, and more.

Ellis Island Website
If your ancestors passed through Ellis Island, this is the place to start researching their immigration story.

Immigration History Research Center
Vast holdings of newspapers, oral histories, and personal papers pertaining to international migration (some digital; much more available at the center in Minneapolis).

Migration Information Source
A clearing house for the latest data, policy, and a wide range of articles pertaining to worldwide immigration.  Run by the Immigration Policy Institute.

Order Sons of Italy in America
A national organization with local chapters throughout the country dedicated to promoting the heritage, culture, traditions, and legacy of Italians and Italian-Americans.

Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America
An excellent website run by the premier organization devoted to the involvement of Jews in America’s armed forces and past wars.  This organization runs the National Museum of American Jewish Military History in Washington, D.C., which is linked to the site.

Jewish Gen
This is the go-to site for Jewish genealogy;  extensive resources for those searching for relatives killed in the Holocaust as well as background on Jewish life in Europe before the Second World War.

Polish Museum of America
A Chicago-based museum with exhibits, library and archives devoted to the Polish experience in America.  Their website links to the Polish Genealogical Society of America, a good place to start your research of Polish family.
